Healthwatch Cheshire West conducted an unannounced Enter and View visit to Ward 32 at Countess of Chester Hospital on the 8th of September 2015. Ward 32 offers antenatal and postnatal care. The team spoke to patients and staff using survey methods, and made general observations during their visit.

The report described the ward as calm and efficient. The team noted that the ward was clean. The patients indicated that they were well treated and happy with the care they received. The team observed professional interactions between staff and patients.

The report made several recommendations. Two of these related to increasing staffing.
