Summary of report content

Healthwatch North Yorkshire undertook an Enter and View visit to Thistle Hill care home on 11 August 2022.  They wanted to find out residents’ experience of living in a care home, and to understand the quality of care provided.  They spoke to 38 people.

Overall the residents and family and friends were happy with the home.  They felt the home was clean. Staff enjoy working in the home and are kept informed of any changes. The care home communicates well with family and friends of residents, and they have a clear understanding of where to go to raise concerns and issues.

Recommendations were made about staffing, activities, food, information and sensory health checks.
