Summary of report content

Healthwatch Cumbria conducted an Enter and View on Stilecroft residential home Cumbria, a privately owned residential home . The visit was conducted on 6th June 2017.

The visit was arranged as part of Healthwatch Cumbria's enter and view schedule.

Observation by the enter and view representatives reported that:

There was good security and hygiene at the entrance to the home. There was also good information about the home and staff.

There seemed to be plenty of activities available for residents but there was no Activities board for anyone to see.

Access to outside health services was goos when required.

Residents spoken too stated that they were happy living there.

Family members reported no issues and that they were happy with the care their family members were receiving.

The home have been working with North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) and introduced a system for the triage of falls or accidents of elderly residents in conjunction with the FEAT team (Frail & Elderly Assessment Team).
