Healthwatch Halton conducted an enter and view visit to St Patrick’s Care Home to learn more about the service, what they do well, and where improvements can be made. The visit took place in December 2022.

St Patrick’s Care Home can care for up to 40 residents, and at the time of the visit there were 39 residents.

The home was presented well and decorated nicely. Family of residents feel the home is warm and welcoming and that residents are treated respectfully by staff. Overall, the observations from the visit were positive. The report concludes with some recommendations for improvement. Some of these recommendations include staff supervision and assistance at mealtimes, ensure corridors are free of equipment and easy to pass through, and ensure rooms not in use are secure to protect residents’ safety.
