Summary of report content

Healthwatch Warwickshire carried out an Enter and View visit to Shipston Medical Centre in June 2016, gathering feedback from 52 patients. Feedback about the overall quality of care was very positive, with patients particularly praising GPs, nurses and reception staff.

Some people reported difficulties getting appointments with their preferred GP and concerns about waiting times, while limited parking was a significant issue.

Recommendations focused on improving awareness of evening and weekend appointments, explaining the different appointment options available and consistently informing patients about delays. The practice responded with information about its appointment and triage systems and its work towards developing a new facility with improved parking.
