Summary of report content

Healthwatch St Helens conducted an Enter and View visit to Segal Gardens Care Home in December 2017. The methods employed were observation and interviews with staff members.

Staff levels and staff training were discussed whereby no agency staff are used and refresher training is offered. An education programme is used and outside activities are offered. Residents are involved in designing their packages of care and what they want to have and do, so it is tailored with an individual holistic approach. Home visits from health professionals are conducted.

The service provider responded positively.
