Healthwatch Lincolnshire is the independent health and social care champion. Local Healthwatch is in place to gather the views and experiences of people accessing services, to use this information to influence decisions and to provide information and advice to the local community about health and social care services.

These Enter and View visits are ‘announced’ visits where they notify the provider of their intention to visit. Healthwatch Lincolnshire visited Seaton House Care Home on 27/09/2017.

The summary of findings highlight: Overwhelmingly residents felt that they were well cared for and that they were in a happy and relaxed environment; The residents told Healthwatch Lincolnshire that they enjoyed the activities and there was always an opportunity to make new suggestions; Healthwatch Lincolnshire saw an integration of the residents into the local community engaging in sports and other social activities and where independence of others was achievable it was encouraged; Healthwatch Lincolnshire noted some of the challenges around working with hospital admissions; Healthwatch Lincolnshire also noted that in terms of senior management of the provider, the home would welcome more involvement in the views of the staff and residents; It was also noted that an increase in independent living opportunities for people would support the service and individuals in the longer term.
