Summary of report content

Aim: To gain insight into patient experiences during their visit to this GP Surgery.

The Enter & View visit was undertaken along with a survey/questionnaire to obtain feedback on the quality of the services available. Healthwatch Warwickshire spoke to 13 people attending the surgery.

In summary, the surgery was given mixed reviews:

• 9 patients gave a rating of average or slightly better to the appointment booking system, whilst 4 patients rated it poor.

• Most patients were happy with the location, accessibility and cleanliness of the surgery. However, comments were made on the need for redecoration and update.

• GPs, nurses and reception staff were rated well and the overall quality, care and service was above average.

• Problems with booking of routine appointments and the lighting in the car park were some of the main issues.

The report included 5 recommendations concerning the appointment booking system; informing patients of any delays which may impact on their appointment; updating internal décor; advertising the availability of a translation service; issues around lighting in the car park.

The Service Provider responded with acknowledgement of the recommendations and actions to address them all being implemented.
