Healthwatch Leicester and Healthwatch Leicestershire visited Saffron Health Practice on 11 June 2024 to gather patient views of the service, observe the facilities and operation, and observe patient access. A total of 348 people responded to a survey sent to registered patients prior to the visit.
Three quarters of survey respondents said that it was “difficult” or “very difficult” to get through to the Saffron Health Practice via telephone. Over 70% of people said that they were satisfied with the reception service and 85% of respondents were satisfied with the prescription service. Less that half of respondents said that they were ‘completely satisfied’ with the quality of medical care and treatment at the practice. Just under half of people said that the never see the doctor or nurse of their choice.
The report also includes observations on the reception and waiting areas, appointment booking processes, accessibility, patient information, staffing, and patient involvement. The report contains 4 recommendations. Saffron Health Practice responded to the report.
