Summary of report content

Healthwatch Rutland gather information on people’s experiences of health and social care services and there are times when it is appropriate for Healthwatch Rutland to see and hear for themselves how services are being delivered: these visits are called ‘Enter and View’, they are not inspections.

Healthwatch Rutland visited Rutland Care Village on 9 October, 2018.

The key findings highlighted areas in relation to patient feedback, staff feedback and observation.

The report contains 4 recommendations. Healthwatch Redbridge suggests the recruiting of replacement staff remains a priority. Training takes place during paid working hours. The problem of the provision of dental services to Care Homes across Rutland appears to be county-wide. It is recommended that Healthwatch Rutland continues to try to progress this issue through the Local Dental Network, keeping all care homes aware of progress.
