Summary of report content

Healthwatch Buckinghamshire conducted an Enter and View at Rushymead, a residential care home in Buckinghamshire, which provides care for up to 26 residents.

The visit was conducted on 27th June 2017. The visit was unannounced on the day but the care home did receive 2 weeks notice that the visit was taking place, with 12 people being asked for their views.

Observation by the enter and view representatives reported that:

Staff seemed to know residents well and were quick to respond

There was a range of activities and space to spend time on your own or with others

There were mixed comments about the home and after the visit, the enter and view team made recommendations with the service manager responding to provide feedback to give an update on how the home has addressed the recommendations.
