Healthwatch Havering conducted an Enter and View visit to Rosewood Medical Centre and spoke to 10 staff and patients.
The report found that the staff were welcoming and all staff received appropriate training. Patients with mental health issues were given as much support as they needed to ensure ongoing care. However, patients reported difficulties in booking appointments as they found difficulty seeing a specific GP but accepted that this was not unusual.
Healthwatch Havering made 3 recommendations including that focus groups be set up to move the practice on to Outstanding; consideration be given to providing a designated phone line for priority patients; and consideration be given to introducing advice sessions for people with long-term conditions.
