Summary of report content

Healthwatch North Yorkshire undertook an Enter and View visit to Rivermead care home on 19  August 2022.  They wanted to find out residents’ experience of living in a care home, and to understand the quality of care provided.  They spoke to 33 people.

Overall, residents, relatives and friends were positive about the service and care provided. The residents felt positive about their personal cleanliness and hygiene and that of the home. The feedback from residents and relatives about the food was positive. There was good feedback about the permanent staff. Staff enjoyed their work and majority would recommend the care home to friends and family

Recommendations were made about activities, where food is eaten, toilets, involving relatives, signage and staffing.
