Healthwatch Walsall undertook an enter and view visit to Richmond Hall Care Home on 20 September 2024. They spoke to 11 people.
Improvements are planned, which have started for the 1st floor. The décor appeared to be in good repair. Some areas on first floor part of the planned redecoration.
Healthwatch didn't receive any adverse comments regarding food.
The manager noted that resident activities are being improved and is looking to recruit an additional activities co-ordinator dedicated for residents on the first floor.
Residents with capacity appeared not to go out of the home.
The staff were attentive and caring and asked residents if they required tea, coffee or cold drinks during the visit.
There appeared to be a good, relaxed rapport between staff, residents and any visitors during the visit.
Residents seemed to be well looked after.
There were no noticeable odours.
