There is dementia friendly signage throughout the home and each resident has their own door number, residents seem aware of their own number and those of their friends. Relatives reported being well-informed and are kept updated about their relatives' care. Many residents have lived locally all of their lives and their local community remains important to them, the home provides as many opportunities as possible for them to remain a part of their local community by supporting them in maintaining friendships, going out into the village and receiving regular visits from local school children.
