Summary of report content

Healthwatch Cheshire East conducted an announced enter and view visit to Prestbury House on 20 May 2015. The home provides residential care for 59 residents. On the day of the visit, the team engaged with 4 residents, 3 staff members and 3 relatives using survey and observation methods.

The home was found to be well maintained and providing good quality care. There was a clear ethos of person-centred care and staff working well together. Residents and relatives were happy with the care and the facilities at the home. Residents were dressed and relaxed and said that they were pleased that they knew help was quickly available when needed. There is a wide range of activities on offer which relatives can also be part of. All residents and relatives the team spoke to were aware of the activities programme. Relatives were especially pleased with the efficiency of the staff.

The report did not make recommendations and a response from the service provider was not included in the report.
