Summary of report content

In July 2025 Healthwatch Bracknell Forest conducted an announced Enter and View visit to Pinehurst Care Centre. This was part of the Enter and View programme for 2025 which had been approved by the Strategic Advisory Group.

The visit was to look at independence and choice with a focus on activities and food. As part of this one of the team sampled the menu and a lunchtime observation took place. The King's Fund Dementia Friendly Tool was also used in a walk around of the premises.

The team spoke to three residents and spoke to/received surveys from twelve relatives and three members of staff.

Recommendations were made around feedback on the food, improving the home for those with dementia and making the garden more user friendly. The home was informed that a revisit will take place in 2026.

A new manager had been recently appointed and welcomed the team and their feedback.
