Healthwatch Dudley conducted announced visits on 15 July and 25 July 2025 to Pathways Supported Housing to observe care quality and gather feedback from residents and staff. Pathways is a supported living service run by Integra Group, providing accommodation for adults with autism, epilepsy, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, or challenging behaviours.
Key observations:
- Safety: the premises have a secure entry system, fire safety signage, locked flats; concerns about privacy during maintenance visits.
- Activities: Residents enjoy trips, shopping, parties; Synergy project offers archery, cookery, gardening, but engagement varies.
- Personalised Care: Warm staff interactions were observed; concerns raised about reduced support hours and lack of choice in placement for one resident.
- Environment: Healthwatch noted a clean interior but garden and entrance need repair; boiler breakdown caused delays; maintenance responsibility lies with Inclusion Housing.
- Residents had positive comments about staff support; they talked about their desire for independence and family proximity. They enjoyed social activities but had some privacy concerns.
