Healthwatch Warwickshire undertook an enter and visit on Park View on 8th April 2019. The visit to Park View was in response to a concern received by Healthwatch Warwickshire. The purpose of the visit was to investigate whether there was any evidence to substantiate this. Six Authorised Representatives observed the care being given in the communal areas of the home, including the period over lunch. They spoke to the Registered Manager, the Deputy Manager, 16 other members of staff, 15 residents and 2 relatives.
The visiting team found that there was no evidence to substantiate the concern received by Healthwatch Warwickshire. The visiting team found that residents and staff were very positive about the home and the support they received. The visiting team observed that the physical environment of the home was of a very high standard, with the residents enjoying a well-maintained home and gardens. The visiting team noted that the interactions between staff, residents and relatives were friendly and respectful.
Healthwatch Warwickshire made two minor recommendations: improve ventilation in the kitchen and provide better access to transport to enable a greater variety of social outings.
