Summary of report content

Healthwatch Cheshire West conducted an Enter and View on Overdene House, a care home with 70 places on 22 January 2015.

This visit was arranged as part of Healthwatch Lancashire’s Enter and View schedule.

Observation by the Enter and View representatives reported that: the home appeared to be run efficiently in regard of the essentials; that staffing levels appear adequate but that some residents would benefit from greater personnel support; and that there was little evidence on display of entertainment or activities taking place.

Residents commented that: complaints were not always actioned and that “they had monthly resident and family meetings, but they weren’t very useful".

At the time of publication, no response had been received from the provider of the service.
