Summary of report content

Healthwatch Oxfordshire undertook an Enter and View visit to the Older Adults Community Mental Health Team in Abingdon on 8 October 2019.

They observed excellent communication between patients, carers and staff.  The staff told them that it was a great team to work in, but issues with IT and having problems resolved was a barrier to effective working.  There were technical issues with the data recording system and problems with data syncing. The supporting of carers / family members was a very important aspect of the work. The team was proactive about responding to patient and carer feedback and was developing new approaches to ensure more feedback was received.

There were 5 recommendations and the report contains a response from the provider.
