Summary of report content

Healthwatch Cheshire West conducted an unannounced Enter and View visit to Morningside on the 24th of March 2015. The team spoke to 3 relatives, 7 residents and 5 staff. They also made general observations.

The team observed that the home provided a welcoming, friendly environment. They reported that the home was well kept and clean. Staff reported that they were happy in their work and well treated. The team spoke to 3 relatives, who all had positive comments about the standard of care their relatives received.

The report made several recommendations. Recommendations included ensuring the complaints procedure and the local authority hygiene rating were clearly displayed, and resolving a few maintenance issues. The team also recommended installing an induction loop system in the main communal area.

The report included a response from the provider. They were happy with the report and commented that the team were very friendly.
