Healthwatch Rochdale undertook an enter and view visit to The Mews Care Home on 21 June 2024.

Positive highlights of the visit:

Good retention of staff – proves a dedication to the role and that it is a good establishment to work for.

 Warm and welcoming – open and transparent to Healthwatch as Enter and View Reps. 

Positive staff and resident interactions. Healthwatch observed various members of staff having conversations with residents. 

Great entertainment. The events and activities were plus points from both staff and residents.

 Individual care plans in place for all residents, inputted and regularly updated on the home’s PCS system and shared through the staff handheld equipment alongside the handover meetings.

The report contains nine recommendations about improving the building, decor and facilities.
