Summary of report content

The purpose of the visit was to see what improvements had been made following a Care Quality Commission (CQC) visit earlier in year. The Home had received a report which highlighted areas for improvement in all five areas assessed.

Residents were spoken to about all aspects of their care and whether this is delivered in a way that promotes their dignity and independence including the ability to make choices about their daily lives. Residents were also asked about staffing levels and whether they feel safe with the level of the care provided.

HWS engaged with relatives, when available, to ask if they are happy with the care provided to their relatives and whether they are aware and feel able to report any concerns/complaints. However, it is unclear how many residents and relatives were spoken to.

Conversations took place with staff around training, turnover, support staffing levels and observations were made on interaction at all levels between residents, staff manager and visitors.

The report makes one recommendation about door bells for which the home verbally agreed to resolve.

There is no written feedback from the provider
