Summary of report content

Healthwatch Norfolk gather information on people’s experiences of health and social care services and there are times when it is appropriate for Healthwatch Norfolk to see and hear for themselves how services are being delivered: these visits are called ‘Enter and View’, they are not inspections.

Healthwatch Norfolk visited Mayflower Court on 8 June 2018.

The key findings highlighted areas in relation to patient feedback, staff feedback and observation. Healthwatch Norfolk reported there was a very calm and welcoming atmosphere. The building is pleasantly decorated, bright, clean and well laid out. Music was playing in several areas. Residents appeared clean and tidy in appearance. A wide variety of activities is offered to residents. A choice of food is available.

The ideas to take forward were to continue to recruit staff to meet full complement. Complete refurbishment of small lounge. Develop “mens” section of the hairdressing salon.
