Summary of report content

Healthwatch Milton Keynes undertook an Enter and View visit to Mallard House on 4 May 2023. They spoke residents, family members, and staff.

The home provides specialist neurological care to those residents who cannot be supported in more traditional nursing homes. The building and gardens are well maintained, and features artwork created by the residents. The home has an AI – infrared monitoring system to help with patient safety.

Staff were observed to be attentive and caring with residents and have a good understanding of individual needs of each resident. Staff were encouraging during mealtimes. Family members said they are aware of care plans and that people feel safe. Residents are happy to socialise with each other and they partake in activities when they can.

There were no significant issues identified.
