Healthwatch Lancashire conducted an Enter and View on Lytham Court Care Home in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire, a privately owned nursing home catering for residents who are affected by Dementia.
The visit was conducted on 9th May 2017 and was an announced visit which was arranged as part of Healthwatch Lancashire's Enter and View schedule where 1 resident, 2 members of staff and six relatives were asked for their views. A further observational visit was undertaken on 1st June 2017 to capture a more in-depth account of staff/resident interaction.
Observation by the enter and view representatives reported that:
The home received a positive review in each area that it was observed with the rating being based on that the home would be chose for a loved one.
When the resident was asked for their comments, they provided comments which the majority was positive about environment, activities, care and food.
At the end of the report, there was a response from the provider which said “some minor changes were requested by the provider and these have been incorporated into the final report”.
