Summary of report content

Healthwatch Windsor, Ascot and Maidenhead and Healthwatch Bracknell Forest undertook an enter and view visit to Longlea Care home in October 2024 and this revisit was to check on the progress made with the recommendations in that report.

Whilst some positive changes had taken place, such as a new wall mural, an activities person employed, improvements in the patio and the introduction of a newsletter, the marking of the taps and the contrasting toilet seats, were not in place, despite the home saying they had been ordered.

Healthwatch questioned what had not been done and gave the care home an opportunity to respond. The care home said it is still addressing these recommendations.

Healthwatch will return for a visit in 2026 to check on progress.
