Summary of report content

Healthwatch Hertfordshire followed up their 2018 enter and view visits to Lister Hospital and New QEII Hospital on 12 and 16 July 2019. They visited the phlebotomy, cancer centre and urgent care centres. They spoke to 44 people.

Good Practice 

Patients were very complimentary of the Phlebotomy service and the care they received in the Lister Macmillan Centre. 

Good volunteer support in the Lister Macmillan Centre was noted by patients and Healthwatch

The check in experience at the Urgent Care Centre QE11 was again rated good. 

Areas for Improvement 

The long waiting times in the Lister Macmillan Centre. 

The environment and information available in the Phlebotomy Centre. 

Collecting patient feedback in the Phlebotomy Centre.
