Summary of report content

Healthwatch Blackburn with Darwen undertook an Enter and View visit of Limefield Surgery on 28 November 2017. During the visit they spoke to 17 patients, 3 staff members and undertook 4 observations.

100% of patients said:

  • They booked their appointments by telephone.
  • They felt safe at this GP practice.
  • They found it easy to find their way around this GP practice.
  • The lighting was suitable at Limefield Surgery.
  • They did not feel lonely and/or isolated.

100% of staff rated Limefield Surgery as very good and said they had enough time to spend with patients.

Key recommendations included:

  • Offer and promote online appointment bookings and online access to order repeat prescriptions.
  • Encourage patients to get involved in the Patient Participation Group.
  • Patients and Enter and View representatives could hear conversations between doctor and patients in the disabled toilets. Limefield Surgery need to address this issue.
