Healthwatch Bristol and Healthwatch South Gloucestershire undertook an enter and view visit to Lime and Silver Birch Wards at Callington Road Hospital Mental Health Services on 6 October 2015.

Healthwatch found a lot of good practice about the safety of visitors, facilities and activities for in patients, staff training, choice of meals, involving patients in care and discharge planning.

They also identified a number of concerns which are detailed in the report.

This enter and view visit found a suitable and attractive environment where patients were given choice and were actively involved in their discharge and care planning. Staff had high job satisfaction and were well supported in their training and development. It was good to see a volunteer on shift at Lime ward.
