Healthwatch Halton visited Leahurst Care Home on 02/02/2015.

The summary of findings highlighted areas in relation to patient feedback, staff feedback and observation.

The report contains 5 recommendations which include ensure regular use of the various specialised products available to reduce odours within the home. To replace or clean worn carpets and flooring. To engage with Healthwatch Halton when issues arise, such as changes to medication impact on the care of residents as highlighted in this report. To encourage residents to take more part in free recreational activities provided within the community. Ensure that communal toilets are checked and cleaned daily.
