Summary of report content

Healthwatch Hackney and Healthwatch Tower Hamlets undertook an enter and view revisit to Leadenhall Ward in Tower Hamlets and to Larch Ward in Hackney on 15 December 2015 to check on progress on implementing the recommendations made on 12 February 2015.  They spoke to 9 people.

Patients were happy with available activities at Leadenhall Ward including art classes and music therapy.

There is evidence that carers and family members, (particularly from the north of Hackney) find it much harder to visit patients at the Mile End Hospital and attend ward rounds.

Charedi patients will be informed on admission that carers who wish to be with relatives on the Sabbath can stay in a room onsite  overnight to avoid travel on the Sabbath.
