Summary of report content

Healthwatch Slough visited Langley Haven care home in September 2024 and this revisit took place on 15th April 2025. This revisit was to see which of our recommendations had been acted upon.

Additional handrails had been added on the upper floors, contrasting toilet seats were being changed out on a planned schedule, taps are now more clearly marked 'hot' and 'cold'.

A residents' meeting had been held to discuss the choice of food and the excellent activities manager had offered to 'buddy' with other care homes to help them with their activities.

Carpets are being changed out for flooring which is less likely to lead to falls.

Beds are also being renewed to reduce risks of falls for some of the residents.
