Healthwatch Milton Keynes visited the Kents Hill Care Home on 5 July 2024 to explore resident’s overall experiences in the care home, specifically regarding social isolation and physical activity. During the visit, Healthwatch Milton Keynes spoke with a total of seven residents and their family members.

The report covers: the premises; staff interaction and quality of care; dining experience; and social engagement and activities. The report included 4 recommendations regarding staff consent upon entering resident’s rooms, odour in a specific area of the home, providing residents with more choice (e.g., food, activities), and additional support for residents with dementia. The recommendations have been actioned by Kents Hill Care Home.
