Jah-Jireh charity homes is a large care home which can accommodate up to thirty-three residents and provides nursing, respite and residential support for people based on a model of spirituality and family. The home supports people as they get older and also support them in their end of life care.
The visit was arranged as part of Healthwatch Blackpool’s enter and view schedule and was conducted on 23rd August 2016 where 9 residents and 3 family members participated and offered their views.
Observation by the enter and view representatives reported that:
In general, the residents at the home seemed happy with the majority having no issues with it being reported that there was a strong sense of community within the home.
A number of recommendations were made including choice of food and also current legislations around the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS).
The service provider did not provided a response to the report or recommendations.
