Healthwatch Rochdale undertook an Enter and View visit to Inspire Medical Practice in April 2017 where they spoke with 9 patients and additionally staff. The visit was agreed following patient feedback to Healthwatch. The report provides an overview of an interview with the
Practice Manager as well as feedback from people using the service on the day.
The key lines of the Healthwatch visit were:
1. How easy is it to get an appointment when you need it?
2. Are there any problems communicating with staff or doctors?
3. Are you satisfied with the treatment and service you receive here?
4. Are you aware that your GP Practice has a PPG (Patient Participation Group)?
5. If you have been unable to obtain an appointment at your GP practice for same day appointments have the receptionist signposted you to the 7-day access service?
6. Overall how would you rate the service you received at your GP Practice?
The report reflects the appreciation shown by the majority of respondents in relation to the care and treatment provided at Inspire Medical Centre. A variety of recommendations were made from reviewing the information on display in the practice right through to getting a replacement sharps bin for one of the consulting rooms.
The practice responded to the feedback within the report and in general terms, provided an overview of the points raised giving them context and clarity for the reader.
