Horncliffe House is a nursing home in Blackpool which has a capacity of up to 23 residents and supports adults who are aged 65 and over and generally suffer from dementia or other impairment issues. The visit was arranged as part of Healthwatch Blackpool’s enter and view schedule and was conducted on 7th September 2016 where 8 residents participated and offered their views.
Observation by the enter and view representatives reported that:
There were some mixed comments from the residents, some being positive and some being negative. These ranged overall on all aspects of the home from the level of care they received, the variety of food and drink provided and the variety of activities that were on offer.
After the observation, there were no recommendations given and when the service provider was given opportunity to feedback, they did not give a response.
