Summary of report content

Healthwatch Hartlepool conducted an unannounced Enter and View visit Gretton Court on 5 April 2018. Prior to the visit a questionnaire was sent to relatives, some of which were completed and returned.

Gretton Court had 36 residents at the time of the visit.

The home is well-kept, and hallways were decorated with photos. Resident rooms could be personalised with residents’ photos and personal furnishings. There is a high number of staff and residents reported feeling safe in the home.

The observed care was person centred, however there were concerns about the hygiene and cleanliness of the residents and the dining area.

The report concluded without recommendations, however the report was shared with management of the care home, who addressed some of the concerns.
