Summary of report content

Healthwatch Warrington conducted an Enter and View visit to the frailty assessment unit on the 28th March 2019.

They made observations of the reception area, food and refreshments, cleanliness, environment, infection control, assessment, staff, and treatment of patients.

They found that overall the unit was performing well across each aspect. The unit was well signposted, clean and had a calming atmosphere. All interactions between the staff and the patients were respectful and caring.

Healthwatch provided one recommendation: that the unit provides access to snacks that meet the dietary requirements of all patients.
