Summary of report content

Healthwatch Warwickshire conducted an Enter and View visit to Fourways on 8 May 2014.

The Authorised Representatives joined in the weekly residents' coffee morning and heard about the varied and interesting activities that Fourways provide. The visiting team felt the Home had an excellent atmosphere with cheerful and caring staff. They heard of the lengths the Home manager went to in exploring the reasons for the behaviour of a particular resident and the non-drug intervention and management that was developed for this resident.

The Home had an extensive menu but felt that this might be overwhelming for some of their residents so were looking at simplifying the choices, and developing picture menus to make choosing easier.

The visiting team reported that they would be happy for a friend or relative to live at the Home and felt that there were no recommendations to be made.

There was no provider response included in this report.
