Summary of report content

In April 2017, Healthwatch Havering carried out an enter and view to The Fountains Care Home.

The visiting team spoke to a number of residents, 3 relatives, the events coordinator and hairdresser, as well as other staff members.

The overarching theme of the visit was positive with some commentary on the need for décor improvements.

Three relatives were very enthusiastic about the care their relative was being given and they were very happy with the food, activities and the way the home was organised.

The recommendation made in report is shown below:

• That the décor and furnishing of the home be reviewed and replaced, repaired or refurbished as necessary.

At the time of publishing the report it did not contain a response from the provider.
