Summary of report content

Healthwatch Bradford undertook an announced enter and view visit to Formations Care Home on 19 September 2019. They spoke to 14 people.

At the time of their visit, there was evidence that the home was operating to a high standard of care regarding Dignity, Privacy and Respect:

  • Residents were well presented and contented.
  • There was evidence of dignity being respected.
  • They witnessed evidence of a residents’ privacy being respected.
  • They saw staff interacting with residents positively and regularly, including assisting residents in their daily and recreational activities.
  • Residents said that they are happy living at Formations Care Home.
  • Residents were involved in making decisions regarding their own care.
  • There was evidence that the care home delivers a service promoting person centred care.
  • There was evidence of a variety of recreational/social activities that residents can choose to take part in.

There was just one recommendation – that the care home keep up the good practice.  The report also contains a response from the provider.
