Summary of report content

On 26th November 2019, Healthwatch Staffordshire conducted an Enter and View visit to Fernwood Court Care Home. 

Overall, the authorised representatives were satisfied with the external and internal facilities. They found the home was welcoming and the staff were attentive. They noticed measures taken to encourage resident's choice, such as asking for meal preference. Feedback from residents and staff was positive. 

Healthwatch made several recommendations about ensuring the availability of dental care services, improving communication between staff and residents/relatives.
