Summary of report content

Healthwatch Cheshire West conducted an unannounced Enter and View visit to Essendene Care Home on the 13th of November 2015. The team spoke to 7 residents and staff using survey methods. They also made general observations about the home during their visit.

Essendene Care Home is a small care home, and 6 residents were living there at the time of the visit. The report indicated that the home was appropriate, and residents were satisfied with the quality of the care they received. The team observed staff interacting with residents in a positive manner.

The report made 3 recommendations in total. The recommendations were fairly minor.

The report included a response from the provider. The provider disagreed with some of the recommendations that were made.
