Summary of report content

Healthwatch Warrington undertook an announced/unannounced enter and view visit to Cromwell Court Care Home on 22 August 2024.

Cromwell Court had a friendly, caring feel throughout. There were some areas identified during the visit, for example, some resident doors were observed left open which could lead to lack of dignity, in addition to this a medication trolley was observed that was left unattended.

Overall, the residents were very happy here and praise the staff highly. The home has dedicated staff providing a good service with good facilities. The home is supported by committed volunteers and the service provision.

The report has six recommendations about information, dementia friendly initiatives, better choice of food, dignity and privacy, medication security and lighting.
