As part of Healthwatch Barnet Enter and View programme, visits are made to local providers in accordance with information received from the local public, service users, carers and monitoring authorities.
The visit took place at the Cricklewood Health Centre and Walk-in Centre on Tuesday 16th January 2018 and Wednesday 28th March 2018. This visit was an announced Enter and View visit.
The theme of the key findings was the GP led service fulfils a need within its immediate locality and is clearly well used and considered effective by patients Healthwatch Barnet spoke to. It does not receive as much publicity as Edgware Walk-in Centre or Finchley Memorial Walk-in Centre and the range of services commissioned is different, which could lead confusion. Concern was expressed by staff about whether the centre could cope with an increase in walk-in workload. Patients that were spoken to were appreciative of the service offered and made some constructive comments. Healthwatch Barnet felt there were some straightforward practical suggestions that would improve the experience of patients attending the service.
The report includes 9 recommendation and contains a comment from the provider.
