Healthwatch Bucks conducted an Enter and View visit to Chilton House Care Home on 11th July 2019.  

Chilton House provides care for 15 people. Healthwatch spoke to 1 resident and 4 members of staff. They observed a further 7 residents and 5 staff.  They found Chilton House was a peaceful environment with onsite physiotherapists at least five days a week. Staff were friendly and cheerful. Personal choice and independence was encouraged; residents were able to get up and go to bed when they liked, and could eat meals in their bedrooms instead of the dining room, if preferred. Residents said staff always knock on doors before entering a room. There were several activities each week but Healthwatch recommended that they increased the number of weekly activities including trips out of the home.
