Healthwatch Buckinghamshire conducted an Enter and View at Chiltern View, a nursing care home in Buckinghamshire, which provides care for up to 33 residents, with all the residents living with either dementia or high dependency dementia.
The visit was conducted on 2nd June 2017 where 6 members of staff and 3 visitors views were shared. The visit was unannounced on the day but the care home did receive 2 weeks notice that the visit was taking place.
Observation by the enter and view representatives reported that:
A calm, relaxed environment where staff were quick to anticipate needs
Visitors told us their relatives received excellent care
The home received a lot of positive comments and after the visit, the enter and view team made one recommendation. The service manager provided feedback to say that the report looks good and they felt that the home doesn’t require any changes.
