Summary of report content

Healthwatch Blackpool conducted an Enter and View on Chaseley Care Home, Blackpool, a privately owned nursing home catering for up to 24 people whose needs are associated with the ageing process and long term conditions. The visit was conducted on 3rd December 2015.

Accommodation is over three floors with full lift access. The sun lounge offers promenade and sea views, with parking to the front of the building. There is a separate lounge and dining room.

The visit was arranged as part of Healthwatch Blackpool’s enter and view schedule and 6 residents participated with their views during this visit.

Observation by the enter and view representatives reported that:

In general the comments and observations were mainly positive with the residents giving positive feedback about the staff and facilities available.

There did not seem to be any major recommendations in the report, just that the residents had requested that the care home should provide additional activities for the residents and the residents also were not aware that regular staff/resident meetings took place.
